Mr. Jant is a proud Charlotte native. He completed his Bachelor of Music in Voice at Lee University in Cleveland, TN and a Master of Arts Administration at Winthrop University. He has previously taught music in local charter schools and Charlotte Mecklenburg schools. He also volunteers his time for art and community engagement events in Charlotte and surrounding areas. Mr. Jant is the music director and lead singer for The Jant Quartet; a local singing group that specializes in Gospel, Jazz, Message, and Soul music. Mr. Jant’s favorite singer is Clara Ward. Mr. Jant lives by two quotes: “Faith is taking the first step, even when you don’t see the whole staircase”- Dr. Martin Luther King and “Stick to it, son”- Dr. Mildred Caldwell (his Great-Grandmother).
