Jason Grube, Upper School Social Studies Teacher
Jason Grube graduated from Indiana University (IU) with a bachelor’s degree in secondary social studies education in 1996. He is a veteran history teacher with 28 years of experience in the classroom. Born and raised in Indiana, after graduation from IU, Jason moved to the Tar Heel State, where he began working as a social studies teacher at Garinger High School. He taught and coached at Garinger for three years before moving to East Mecklenburg High School in 1999, where he was a history teacher and the boys’ head basketball coach for 15 years, winning the first state boys’ 4A title (2008) in school history. In 2014, Jason moved to Hough High School, where he was also a social studies teacher and the boys’ head basketball coach. After nearly three decades as a teacher and coach with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Jason retired and joined Bradford Prep in 2024.
Jason and his wife, Angie, have two children, Caleb and Cameron, and a dog named Piper. In his spare time, Jason enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and watching the Chicago Cubs and Indianapolis Colts.
