Camille Smith, K-3 School Counselor
Camille Smith, K-3 School Counselor, earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Counseling from
John Wesley College in 2005. Following graduation, Camille dedicated her time to advocacy as
a victims advocate at the Rape Crisis Center in Catawba County. There, she answered the
(1-800) rape crisis line, and personally responded to two local hospitals, acting as a liaison
among hospital staff, law enforcement, family members, and friends on behalf of victims.
Camille also facilitated therapeutic support groups for teens and offered individual crisis
counseling for both teens and adults. Furthering her educational journey, Camille earned her
Masters in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2013. She is recognized
as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate by the North Carolina State Board.
Post-licensure, Camille has applied her skills in various mental health settings, including serving
as a Group Therapist for Substance Abuse Treatment, as well as an Individual, Couples, and
Family Counselor in the Private Counseling setting, and more recently, as a School Counselor.
Camille finds joy in being a mom to her two boys and spending quality time with family and
friends. Her interests include travel, cooking, decorating, and the art of organization.
