Melanie Genwright graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Johnson C. Smith University and Master’s degree in Public Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management. Her teaching certification was completed at UNC-Charlotte. Mrs. Genwright, affectionately known as Mrs. G, has worked in a local charter school for the past six years as a Business Manager, Kindergarten Teacher, Music Teacher, and 8th Grade Social Studies Teacher. She has a big heart for children and youth of all ages and has provided educational, recreational, and spiritual programs to her community for the last 12 years. Mrs. Genwright, a native of Richmond, Virginia, lives in Charlotte with her husband and two sons (who also attend Bradford). She enjoys going to the beach and mountains with her family, reading, playing the piano, and singing. She also enjoys volunteering at her church with the youth and children’s ministry and worship team.
