Becky Ashcraft, EC Assistant
Becky Ashcraft is originally from Wilmington Delaware and graduated from The University of Delaware with a Bachelors of Science in Family and Community Services. Her freshman year she had the opportunity to study abroad and completed a Winter session in Bayreuth, Germany. During her senior year, she had the opportunity to intern in the Department of Social Services in the Foster Care Unit in Cecil County Maryland. After graduation, she became a member of Americorp and worked with at-risk pregnant teenagers/women. After completing the Public Allies program she went on to work on her Masters in Social Work at Catholic University in Washington DC with a clinical concentration in children and families and completed her foundation year. While studying she was given the opportunity to intern at a shelter for bipolar/schizophrenic adults and also at Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore MD in the neurological inpatient unit. She met her husband while in graduate school (he was a left-handed pitcher for George Mason University) and ending up relocating from Northern VA to DE where they got married in 2002. In the Spring of 2006, she relocated to Charlotte NC. Becky has three AMAZING children; a junior an 8th grader and a 7th grader who all attend Bradford. She LOVES running, cheering her children on at sporting and music events, camping, hiking and just spending time with her family.
