About Ms. Engle
Saludos a todos! Hello students and parents!
My name is Ms. Engle and I am from Louisville, Kentucky, although I have lived a lot of my life in North Carolina, England, and Spain, with most of my academic career spent right here in Charlotte! After graduating from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish (with a focus in Business Spanish) I moved to a small city in Spain called Úbeda, the capital city of a beautiful province called Jaén and also an UNESCO World Heritage Site. I spent a year there teaching English before moving to a mountain village in the northwest of Spain (El Espinar) to continue my teaching. After returning to the United States, I took the middle school Spanish position here at Bradford Preparatory School and have been teaching Spanish at the middle school level ever since! This is currently my 3rd year at Bradford.

I have a big big passion for Spanish and for the middle grades. I have taught 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. There is something to love about each of the middle grades, but I have most consistently taught 7th graders, so they are my favorite age group!
In my class, you can expect to learn a lot. I will challenge you, but will also welcome you in with plenty of games, projects, and activities to keep the learning process fun! I look forward to an exciting and productive year with you as my Spanish student.
