BP Student, Avery McKinney, standing beside Mr. Daniels, a character from Lynda Mullaly Hunt’s novel Fish In A Tree.
From Mrs. Gration "Although Avery has been going to school remotely since last March due to COVID 19, he continues to take his academics seriously and even had some fun. Recently he created a life-size picture of the caring, creative, and kind substitute teacher, Mr. Daniels, who helps a young student named Ally learn how to read. Ally is bullied and misunderstood at school because she has a reading disorder, dyslexia. Avery felt that reading this book helped him to understand more about dyslexia and how all kids should treat each other kindly at school. Thank you Avery for your hard work and creativity."
