Upper School Teacher, Marcia Chumas, nominated Ashley Owens, to participate in Ally Financial’s “Girls Who Count” (GWC) recognition luncheon. Ally is celebrating female high school students across the Charlotte school district who have shown a special interest in, and aptitude for, mathematics. The event is a way of encouraging young women to continue pursuing their passion for math and developing skills to be ready to explore multiple career paths and take control of their financial future.

Ashley and Mrs. Chumas will attend a luncheon hosted by Diane Morais, President of Consumer & Commercial Banking Products at Ally Bank, along with members of Ally’s female leadership team and keynote speaker Farnoosh Torabi, journalist, author, television personality, and leading personal finance expert.
