Bradford Preparatory School

Kristen Werner, Middle School Dance Teacher

Kristen Werner began her dance training in 1991. She is well versed in several styles of dance including ballet, lyrical, tap, and jazz. As a competitive dancer throughout middle and high school, Kristen was awarded numerous regional and national titles.

After suffering a knee injury, Kristen was forced to retire from competition. Refusing to give up her passion, she shifted her focus from performance to teaching. It was here that Kristen found her true gift and an appreciation for educating children that couldn’t be ignored. She instills in her students the values of technique, hard work, and a conviction for doing what you love. Since 2005, Kristen has been blessed to be teaching dance in Charlotte, NC where she has received multiple choreography awards, regional titles, and national overalls. Kristen has also had the honor of working with some of the best names in the dance industry including Maud Arnold, Nick Bass, Jason Parsons, Brooke Pierotti, Nick Watkins, and Tenitra Oates. She is thrilled to be part of the Bradford family, and help our school grow and develop its dance program!

Kristen currently resides in Concord, NC with her husband, Jeremy, and their two sons, Garrett and Dalton. She enjoys reading, baking, traveling to see friends, trips to the beach, and spending time with her family.
