Jamie Fleming, 7th Grade English Language Arts Teacher

Jamie Fleming is a native of Concord, North Carolina. He is a product of Cabarrus County Schools and a life long learner. He graduated in 2009 from THE GREAT Concord High School. He graduated from Winston-Salem State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in History. He returned to WSSU in August of 2020 to earn his Master of Arts in Teaching Middle Grades English-Language Arts and will graduate in December 2023. He is currently enrolled at North Carolina A&T State University earning his Master of Arts in English and African American Literature. 
 
This year marks Mr. Fleming's fifth year at Bradford Prep and his eighth year teaching overall. He has previously taught sixth, seventh, and eighth grades, but seventh grade is definitely his specialty. Following the model of Ron Clark, Mr. Fleming is a staunch believer in growing students in reading, passion, and their outlooks. He takes a wholistic approach to learning and a high level for engagement. In his class, you will focus on becoming proficient readers, stronger writers, and enhanced analytical thinkers. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his son, coaching sports, traveling with friends, and shopping.
